Biomechanical Updates

My slightly unorignial vision of what an average day would look like if we became biomechanical pseudo-robots in the not so distant future. Conscience would likely become a mere status update in an operating system. Memories would be forever preserved. Mortals would likely become immortal. Nature would likely become synthetic. The gap between the lower and upper class would inflate to imminently fatal positions. Whole civilizations would perish. Society would become immobile. Government would likely take harsh control over all that we learn and do.

that being said- i've always liked to be able to take all my applications and status updates with me and have them encompass the world around me as well (i.e., what track is playing; how my pets are doing; rss feeds; etc.). Like imagine walking into a Burger King and being able to order directly from a HUD (heads up display) suit, and get an alert the moment your order is ready, and then once you leave, a sort of digital coupon is automatically downloaded into your suit's memory for a discount the next time you purchase food at Burger King. Sounds crazy, but this is a sort of a recurring vision i've been having.
